MG Motor's upcoming Astor compact SUV will be priced at Rs 48,49,000 in the Nepalese market. The Astor will be available in a single 'Super' variant only.The MG Astor is almost identical to the ZS EV from the outside, however, it gets minor cosmetic differences. The Astor is distinguished by a concave celestial grille that is flanked by new hawk-eye headlamps. The Astor features a long hood and a powerful stance lending a sporty appearance. The car also comes with red brake callipers to accentuate the sporting DNA of the brand. For the exterior, MG has revealed the car in three different colours: black, orange and red.
On the inside, the MG Astor comes with a multilayered dashboard with soft-touch materials and a dual-tone iconic ivory cabin. It also comes with a sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel with controls and three steering modes - Normal, Urban and Dynamic. The Astor also features 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment along with a 3.5-inch instrument cluster.
In the Nepalese market, the Astor will be available in a 1.5-litre petrol engine only. The 1.5-litre petrol mill delivers 110 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual transmission.In terms of safety, it comes loaded with several active and passive safety features like dual airbags, all 4 disc brakes, ABS+EBD, ESP, TCS, HHC, HDC, rear parking sensors, reverse parking camera, etc.The MG Astor compact SUV rivals the likes of the Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, etc.
